Staff Software Engineer -Fullstack - (Chicago, IL)

We're looking for an experienced Fullstack Engineer to join our team at PadCrush. You will be driving new features from end-to-end through prototyping, validation, implementation, launch, and continuous iteration to help our users. The ideal candidate will have experience working cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering to tackle tough design and product problems.

What we're looking for: Professional experience building web applications, implementing key features across the stack. A strong product sense and feel for design, UX/UI. Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment. Excellent communication skills. Self-awareness and a desire to continually improve. Ability to write readable and testable code. Ability to work independently and has strong debugging skills. Familiar with software engineering best practices such as unit testing and code reviews, design, and documentation Understanding and experience with RESTful APIs and client server interactions Proficiency with React or Vue.js Proficiency with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and Typescript/Javascript Proficiency server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, and Java. 

Construction Manager (Chicago, IL)

We're looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join our team at PadCrush. The Construction Manager represents the company in subcontractor pre-bid, pre-construction, and in-progress negotiations and is the customer interface on any construction-related meetings or items and any initial permitting contracts. The right candidate will effectively schedule the work and assign tasks to team members based on team member skills, competencies, and experience to meet or exceed the assigned tasking and provide professional development.

What we're looking for: Understand, participate in, and direct the engineering, permitting and construction processes in order to support the requirements of the project contract and coordinate a team effort.

Using company accounting techniques, maintain supervision over requisitioning of permanent materials and subcontracting for labor to remain within budget constraints, as well as accounting for own and subcontractor’s work at any phase of construction or installation.

Actively participates in building access meetings with municipalities and governmental permitting officials to coordinate and manage the project schedule.
